Hope you had a nice summer. And what a summer it was this year - the hottest in Europe’s recorded history!
It is the second summer in a row of record-breaking temperatures. We are now facing Europe’s worst drought in at least 500 years, with low river levels already disrupting shipping and hydropower generation.
The world is now warming faster than at any point in recorded history.
You probably already know it, but we cannot stress it enough - the key to averting the worst effects of climate change is held by the energy sector. Fossil fuels are accounting for nearly 90% of all co2 emissions!
This is why today matters. Today is Zero Emissions day.
The purpose of this day is to give our planet a break from fossil fuels and what they release into the air, at least for one day, every year. We could dramatically reduce carbon emissions by replacing coal, gas and oil-fired power with energy from renewable sources.
Transitioning to a net-zero world is one of the greatest challenges humankind has faced. We are not on track to reach net zero by 2050. Commitments made by governments to date fall far short of what is required.
Give the planet more than just one day off!
There are many ways how our personal lifestyles can contribute to reducing carbon emissions. Here’s what you can do:
Rethink your consumption choices
Refuse single use
Lower your heating
Refurbish old stuff
Repair before you replace
Invest in a sustainable world
How can your investments change the world?
The investment decisions we make today will determine whether we keep on destroying the planet - or succeed in limiting climate change to sustainable, liveable, levels. By shifting your investments to sustainable assets, you are supporting companies who are committed to healing the planet. You can dramatically reduce your footprint without compromising the financial performance.
All funds in your Grünfin Climate portfolio are aligned with the goal of reaching net zero by 2050 or fund projects with direct environmental benefits. And we go beyond the green rating and push major global corporations in your portfolios - to do even more for the environment and society.
Admittedly, creating change is not easy. But we are passionate and together we will continue persevering. If you like what we can achieve together…
The more we are, the more impact we have!

Do US Elections Affect the Stock Market?
The US presidential election is less than a year away. On November 5, 2024 voters will either reelect a Democratic president or switch to a Republican. As odd as this may seem, America’s presidency has been governed by only two parties for over 150 years. As the world’s largest economy and stock market, it’s worth analyzing how US elections have historically affected the country’s stock market.
